Bryant Park New York – Dusk at Bryant Park, Manhattan, New York last Tuesday while I was out for an evening time walk-around testing out some new photo equipment. It was here I got to observe a slice of NYC’s rat population. They are an ecology all their own. Under every corner bush and tree planter scurried gangs of rats. Rats looking for food. Rats chasing each other and looking for cast-offs from the humans. Rats getting into arguments with other rats in their little rat language, in heated debates over who gets this or that piece of stale hotdog bun. They obviously have a fairly elaborate little rat civilization right amid our own. See also: Manhattan Bridge view from Brooklyn Bridge Park.
