As for anyone meandering through Times Square, the happiest of times are when one leaves Times Square. This was my third or fourth visit total across all of the years (who the hell really knows). That night was a shoulder-to-shoulder exhibition of influencer tourist insufferability. With the pandemic reopening, so too are the influencers of the economy. One upside was that I spoke with my prize corgi back in Kansas City briefly on the FaceTime app just prior to wading through this hellish debacle. He and I were only eleven hundred miles apart that night.
