Kansas City Colonnade Renovations – Set of photos taken in the Beacon Hill neighborhood area in Kansas City, Missouri near Paseo. These old colonnade-style apartments have been undergoing refurbishment into modernized residential units. This architectural style is mostly unique to the Kansas City area, as many were constructed in the early 20th Century building boom. Their giveaway are the front facing porches, at time of construction known and used as “sleeping porches,” for summertime nights in the midwest prior to air conditioning.
