Last Saturday I went downtown to collect some potential stock images for future sale with downtown all busy, although I kind of failed at capturing anything related to the Big 12 tournament going on as everyone was inside the Sprint Center during the MU-Baylor game while I was there . I haven’t posted in a little while as I’ve been busy de-bugging my blog after a hack – which is what happens when you don’t keep your WordPress theme updated. The WordPress install itself I updated, but not the theme.

These are just starting at the Sprint Center around 14th and Grand and winding over to 13th and Main, down to 14th, and back to the Sprint Center.

On Friday evening, 01/27/12 I put together a few shots after parking in the Crossroads along Walnut and walking north past Truman up to 14th St. and over to Main – downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

Three new pics from downtown on Friday night right just as the rain started moving in.

The world’s largest skateboard is in town on Grand Avenue for the Street League Skateboarding tournament at the Sprint Center this weekend. There were more people visible in this first scene but they don’t show in the photo due to the long exposure time –

Then down to Truman and Grand, looking north back toward the downtown loop…

The following is from pointing the camera with my fisheye lens affixed toward the overpass fence glass and seeing what light from whichever directions shows up and where – looking eastward along Truman and Grand –

Kansas City on a November Saturday Night

In my travels to the top of the City Hall garage for photography recently, this was one of the colorful sights on Saturday night – 5:30 pm Nov. 20, downtown Kansas City, MO.

Reminder: Photography show at The Hook Gallery in Westport on Friday December 3rd. Here are the Facebook and Yelp listings.

Sunday evening the Kauffman Center held its One Year To Go concert event with singer Chaka Khan at the Power and Light District. The Kauffman Center was nice enough to allow me media access for some shots, as they used a couple images last night that I’ve taken of the new building under construction – one for the electronic vertical panels at the back, and another to make two 18 feet high banners depicting the skeletal pieces of the building’s south side.
